The moment is critical. We're nearing the end of a generation of back and forth rancor, defined by the tit-for-tat politics of just two elite political families. At this crucial turning point, Americans must choose a direction for the Democratic Party and for the country.

Believing in the promise of a better future, we can take a road less traveled: the path of hope - a path of reconciliation, communication, and solidarity. We can turn over the page, come together, and begin a new chapter in the book of American history.

I say, the next American president has got to be Barack Obama. It cannot be anyone else. We have to turn over a new leaf. It's time for a changing of the guard. It's our turn. It's Barack Obama's turn.
