The Fog Also Lifts

The Fog Also Lifts is about the life and loves of Gerry Pollack, a professional musician in Los Angeles. His friend, Lorii Kamin is a yoga instructor. Her cousin, Renata Thomas, is an English professor at UCLA who meets Gerry by chance. Carmen Castillo is a local TV newscaster who interviews Gerry when she does a segment on the Nighthawks, the big band he plays in. Gerry's romances unfold, often shrouded by the fog that settles along the beach almost every morning. As our story begins, Gerry doesn't know that Lorri and Renata are cousins.

As you can see by the photos I've added here, I like beautiful women.
When I was in my early 20s and living in Chicago's Old Town area, similar to New York City's Greenwich Village, I learned that it was just as easy to ask a beautiful woman for a date as anyone else. Early Love
Her name was Corky, a real knockout! Amber Lee reminds me of her.
I was living in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood (similar to Greenwich Village), working at a blues club, when I met Corky. She was a student at the University of Illinois Chicago Circle Campus. Corky was born and raised in suburban Glencoe. Her parents were super! But Corky thought she needed help "to cope" (her words), so she saw a psychiatrist several times a week -- for years.
